Default Need your support: Oppose NPRM cargo cutout

We, the cargo pilots of UPS, FedEx, Atlas, etc, are now pushing back on an 11th hour cargo industry move and need your help. Please click on the link below to add your voice to the debate by sending the following message to your member of Congress, your U.S. Senators, and the White House.

From CAPA:

Pilots are human beings and all are subject to the same biological principles and share the same airspace. It is imperative to resist efforts to carve out special rules based on business models rather than fatigue science.

It takes about a minute to fill out. We need your support! Thanks so much.

ONE LEVEL OF SAFETY.

This is important. We might not win this battle but we gotta try. Do it. I did. Hopefully we can get enough attention to stop the cargo cutout from happening.

If this cargo cut out does occur, it will be proof (once again) that money talks in DC. UPS has been lobbying extremely hard to get this cargo cut out - I would be curious to know if FDX has been lobbying as hard - but for sure one of the main culprits and the one to thank (not) will be UPS.

Don't get me wrong, I sent in my letters, but I sense it is a last minute desperation move on our part... the money has already changed hands.

What i don't understand is if ALPA is representing both United and Fedex then how is it justified that one pilot group is so different than other when regs are the same and Fedex guys actually do have the harder schedule times??? I think if the government decides two sets of rules i say we petition to do away with check rides and medicals for cargo pilots.

hahaha...

sadly whomever you fly for will be too happy to comply with that!! They WANT to make this on par with truck driving, hence pay you as such!!

The next time you take off your uniform and put on the PJ while doing your pre-flight duties....just remember you DON'T portray the image of someone commanding a salary upwards of 200K a year.

Self respect is the first step in getting others to respect you!
