Sorry, that's ridiculous. If someone's job drives them to drink and they hate it so much, they should quit. FAs as well as pilots know the rules from Day One. If they choose to ignore them, they deserve the punishment they get.

I know this FA personally, and although I too am waiting to hear what happens, I strongly believe this was a huge misunderstanding.
I am curious to hear the circumstances and surrounding details, but this FA I believe has a skin condition that causes her face to flush. She also has an odd expressionless personality. Anyone who knows her will agree. She is heavily into church and her faith. She never socialized on any of our overnights (slam-clicker). I am wondering if someone mistook her oddities for being intoxicated.

An officer's inspection of the plane turned up three empty 50-milliliter (1.7-ounce) bottles of vodka in a trash bin. Flight records showed no alcohol being served on that incoming flight.

Sad, but she's most certainly gone. Too bad she couldn't get help before it got to that point. She has EIGHT kids....geez...not to be funny or disrespectful, but that would cause most people to drink.
