I saw the wreckage on my way to the hanger that day. Apparently the Citation landed behind an Airbus or something and speculation was wake turbulence. The Airbus got on the radio upon clearing the runway and told the controller that the plane landing behind it had "crashed".

Looking at the crash scene, wake turbulence makes sense. Impact was well before the normal touchdown point, closer to the runway threshold, and off the left side of the runway. The aircraft only skidded maybe a couple hundred feet or so in what I believe was a clockwise yaw.
