Had a trip several years ago. PHX-TEX. Dan Quayle's mother and two farting pugs were on board. On the trip sheet, we were informed to contact her son, Dan Quayle via sat phone should we have to divert to MTJ should the winds in TEX be NOT favoring Rwy 9 as most operators do not land on 27. Well the winds were favoring 27 and I picked up the phone to dial him up to tell him the bad news. He was livid. Telling me how inconvenient it is to have to drive the extra hour to MTJ to pick up his mom. I apologized profusely, and said it was in the interest of safety. He said other Acft were landing and taking off in tex. I told him it was not our policy and we will see him in MTJ. When we got to MTJ, he continued his tirade when we were on the ramp. He was reiterating the same things, this time with a poke to me chest. I began to laugh. He asked "do you think this is funny?" I said no sir.

I was laughing because here I am getting poked in the chest by a former vp of the us. I was in 7th grade at the time. Was also thinking of the "potato" incident.
