FWIW, WN went around on the vis rwy 8 yesterday at PHX due to being "a little too high". Good call.

Is there "pressure" somewhere that compels those of authority to provide causes of accidents so soon after they occur now? It was not always this way.

The 'cause' won't be released until the investigation is complete. Certain 'facts' revealed during the investigation have often been detailed during press conferences and other media releases.
The Preliminary Release from the NTSB will even caution that some information may be in error and if so will be corrected in the final report.

You are correct. Most likely it will not be like that starting next year.

I think this might be a jab at the whole Hersman/Asiana diatribe, but I could be wrong.

Please don't go there, he doesn't need a reason.

USMC just wants an example of the NTSB providing false information.

That's all.

Now if we could just get them to slow down a little on the taxiways.
