The leeches of America strike again going after Boeing......
"The families also claim that Boeing should have added a "low airspeed" voice warning for pilots to the 777"
are you kidding me?
Obviously their lawyers did no research as to what technologies were on the 777 to prevent a low airspeed.....I'm no 777 driver, but even my T-6 has a stick shaker so I'm assuming the 777 has more to warn of an approaching stall....

Attorneys seek plaintiffs with the deepest pockets.
For this group of families, the attorneys may figure it is easier to tag Boeing within the U.S. legal system than chase after South Korean based Asiana.
The attorneys may also be calculating that Boeing will be more prone to a settlement of some amount rather than pay legal fees and some negative publicity. A settlement obtains money for their plaintiffs (and their attorneys) in a much more cost effective and timely manner than knuckle-dragging court sessions.
It will be interesting to watch what other different entities the attorneys will go after and the angles they come up with to make some chump-change. In the American legal system, we are all either suing or being sued (the old death and taxes comparison).
Coming up with the correct angle is far more important in a legal case than in any geometry formula.

Nothing new here. After 911 I believe some people filed suit against the architects and builders of the World Trade Center for not being built strong enough and collapsing. The building themselves were designed to take an impact from a B707 (which was the largest airliner at the time), but not strong enough to handle modern, heavier airliners.
Quite pathetic, when gratitude is due b

This is all routine for plaintiff's attorneys in these cases. Look for seat, overhead bin, slide, etc. manufacturers to be included as parties to this suit. I would not be surprised if they include the airport and contractors doing the current RSA project.
They will cast a huge net and try their best to get the big fishes.
Is it right or wrong, ethical or evil? I will leave that to those who were damaged to decide.
