I hope this wasn't a case of a line boy putting jet fuel into a piston powered airplane. (a Shrike looks a lot like a Turbo Commander to an inexperienced line boy).
It's strange that he would lose both engines right after takeoff.

They are in there every night, man what a terrible thing if it was misfueled! I have that plane in my logbook, and flew with MB and BQ. As Ernest Gann said: In this game we play for keeps.
RIP fellow freight dog.

His name was Eric Howlett. Two type ratings. Not sure why he was flying boxes. I left CASW about 2 years ago and had a number of bad sh&$ happen to me with those damn airplanes. Glad to be done, props are for boats. Tailwinds to a fellow freight dog, we've lost too many.
Also, where is the information coming from that he lost two engines? I listened to the atc feed and at the :53 mark he stated "trouble with the left"

Wasn't BQ for Brian Quinn who lost his life in the FedEx Van a couple of years ago? I know he flew for us as well.
