Used to live in a town with a nuclear power plant. It had no cooling towers but instead used indoor condensers. The plant employed many family members that were "in the know". There was also a large coal power plant about 20 miles away, with huge precipitator scrubber towers. (Thanks EPA). That was far more "impressive".
Inevitably anytime local media did a story on the nuke plant, the idiots in the editing room would pull file footage of the coal plant's massive towers and run it with the commentary, as if it was footage of whatever issue was being hyped at the nuke plant.
Having said that, I'm sure they get everything coming out of Syria right...

I still cannot believe how horrible their coverage was when the Malaysian 777 went missing. Sad thing is they got a rating spike from it. Truly pathetic.
