Heard eveyone is safe. Great news! I bet this will be the accident to poke holes in dubais rest policy. Wouldn't be surprised to hear the crew was tired. Sounds like a failed balked landing and landed belly up from initial reports.

Most effective windshear technique is avoidance. Sometimes it just takes one crew to say - "We're not doing this" and why on the freq and everyone else's lightbulb comes on.

Sadly, one of the responding firefighters was killed in the line of duty. Initial reports are he was killed during rescue/suppression efforts when the explosion happened.

Heard only 1 exit was open, working, or used? Is this true?
