Check out trip 314 on 23,24,25, 30 and 31st. 5 disputed pairings in one month. This has got to be a record. Md11 capt. Ex training manager. Nice work.

Nice work.
Don't forget the 30th and 31st. Guy has 5, yes FIVE, disputed pairings on his line. Did someone say "blanket party?"

Those trips may be flown by a reserve crew being that they are 3 weeks away.

Every disputed pairing in the Boeing is gone as well.

Trip 11

2/3/9/10/16/17/29/30 October.

3 Captains are flying at least 2 each.

A Pity.

How come so many disputed pairings have checkrides and training on them? A few had a ACM and no mention of a checkride. (727 that is)

Maybe he is trying to get his old job back after "deciding to return to the line"

I suspect he is trying to find favor with management so he can get back to a cubicle and will no longer be required to hang out with the unwashed masses (us). Funny thing, he got named as the head of MD-11 training a full 2 years before he could hold Captain. Has his guys give him a Captain checkout then referred to himself as "Captain" in all his correspondence to us low lifes. Then, after tubing his 757 checkout, he got something akin to 200% trying to recheck out in the MD. Apparently, his original "executive" check out wasn't as thorough as the rest of us and since he was to busy to fly, his "skills" degradated.

I recently stumbled across someone flying THREE DPs as an FO. I called because I was requesting a trip trade. I pointed out that while I was not the morality police, the 3 pairings he'd picked up were all disputed. He advised he'd look into it--wasn't getting the ALPAgrams, and felt bad about it. I figured it was an honest mistake...it can happen.

Well...here it is....2 days later....2 of the 3 are still there. Perhaps he is working to trade off them--I'll give the benefit of the doubt until they are flown.

Point is we got to stay informed, and we got to police each other.

And by the way--this was a regional background/previous union kind of guy, and junior to me. I completely sympathize with the guy trying to make a buck--I really do. But before you fly a DP at least consider maybe doing a standby period instead. You probably won't fly, but you'll make 4:30 or so. If you fly--you'll get 6 hours--and nobody can complain about what you get launched on if you are on a STBY. I'm not asking you to give it ALL up, but could you spare the SIG guys 1:30 of your pay to NOT work against them?

Last point--question for some of your smart guys... Why is FLL/ATL/DH a DP when BOS/IND/MEM isn't? Both work about the same times, have a miserablely short layover at a bad time--but it seems to me for a guy living in the south that pairing would not be the WORST pairing in the bidpack, and it certainly isnt' worse than that horrible BOS/IND thing.

I ain't flyin' either one--at least voluntarily...
