Quote: Sorry Loon

Oh and I disagree with selling out all future generations of pilots so you can take your money and run. It just isn't right.
It's kind of like the people and politicians who fight for $15 an hour starting wages at Burger King: that's NOT what those jobs are for! That's a job you work while in high school/early college to get some money for gas/beer /tail.
Same with RAH, it was never intended to be a destination.
Why do you folks keep saying it's a stepping stone, yet want "jetblue" wages/rules? This makes no sense other than the fact that you all want to have your cake and eat it too.
With that being said, how am i "selling out future generations" by voting YES on a ta that has MORE pay, BETTER work rules etc??
Answer me that! Get over the whole "workers paradise" thing, iow grow up. This raise will help a lot of people including "future generations".
Those college professors did a number on you!

So to understand what you said, is that you and management will dictate where some one should be employed and for how long they can stay before they have to move out. And I thought communism was dead.

Based on my totally non-scientific poll, forum members are thinking it will pass. Will watch to see how it develops as more votes come in.

The applicant decides where they will work, not RAH.

Quote: Had this TA happened a year or two ago o would say RAH might have been fine. But I personally think it's just too late. They are so understaffed as it already is, and so much of their flying is being covered by others, along with more flying to be covered in November as well as December. I have to agree that I think bankruptcy is in the future, and is certain to happen. I do think it's best for you guys to vote this TA and enjoy the bonus and and pay raise until then though. I just don't agree that this TA will turn RAH around in any way. In my opinion Bedford and company let it go for too long and they are too deep in the hole to get back out.

Sorry.. but let them burn they did it to themselves, cut a head off and throw it over the wall for the other side to see... Keep saying NO to these snakes

Quote: My prediction is within the next year or two you will see a major softening of the 1500hr rule. You'll see it knocked down to something like 500 hours in leiu of 16 Sim sessions and minimum 100% hours of ioe. The crisis is beginning and the government won't sit on their hands and watch the nations airlines crumble.
You are out sourced to the lowest bidder lift. The government will not do a thing until mainline is having issues with staffing. Just because RAH dragged their feet to negotiate a new contract for years, doesn't mean that they will relax anything. RAH didn't want to pay up until it was too late, this has nothing to do with a pilot shortage, it is a pay shortage.

Your own management decided that, how does this TA change what is already set in motion? It is too late now, when they had the time/money to do something they decided not too.
