Wheels falling off at RAH

IIRC the whole reason for acquiring TCF in the first place were scope restrictions w/ CHQ & the 170's so I don't think that's possible, I might be wrong.
But you're taking bout making them actual individual, separate entities. Technically I suppose you could but IMO that'd be so much work and effort w/ staff, manuals, certification, etc that it'd be more trouble than it's worth. Not to mention seniority integration (or in this case it'd be really the opposite of integration, whatever THAT word would be, lol) issues...it'd be a whole mess

You would have two certificates, operating with identical manuals and procedures and as a pilot, you could operate a YX or S5 flight on any given day. It is obviously not as cost effective as one certificate, but it is the current backup plan if we can't get down to one. A pilot could operate an S5 flight for Delta one week and a YX flight for United the next.

They could sell off S5 to Delta (Endeavor), or YX to United or American. I think S5 going away is a good possibility, which would probably end up being a good deal for S5 pilots.

You guys are slitting your own throats here, IMO.
IF you do go through bankruptcy I wouldn't be surprised to see you bought out by SkyWest, and used as another whipping boy in their game. Either that or large cuts to maintain status quo, while reducing headcount like Eagle. Only reason they didn't furlough is because of the flows.
This contract offers the best chance you have at securing your future and giving guys a decent raise. Not even allowing this to go to vote is almost criminal on the union side.

Wow. My guess is you don't work for RAH and therefore may be excused your ignorance. If you ever worked here you would understand that had this gone to a vote, the pilots might just have started a decertification drive on the teamsters. The ALD very wisely wanted nothing to do with a group of pilots still ****ed off about ALD's hijacking of the NC in 2013/14. The only man this pilot group probably despises more than BB is David Bourne.

They are just wasting time coming out with this proposal. Offer something good, and it will pass, then they will get what they need, new hires.
Good luck guys!!

Too bad you forgot about S5 pilots being on the same list as YX pilots. Why would Republic sell off S5 if they weren't able to use the pilots to solve their massive staffing issues? Unless you were speaking solely to the fact that it would finally require management to actually honor seniority in some remote fashion.
