Says the Endeavor pilot who took concessions when XJT held the line and is now happy to be replacing the XJT pilots. SMH

[QUOTE=jacburn;2541896]Has that person been through training or is it one of those things where they have been awarded the position with no class date set yet

They all have class dates.

My guess is the day after Delta is done. Then management will complain to us we are too expensive cause half the airline is at home cause they can’t train everyone.

And as XJT took PQ tailed 900s from a pilot group forced into bankruptcy, hastening their predicted demise?

A new hire at XJT is a fish caught on survival string to be eaten by those pilots still clinging to a capsized airline. New hire fresh meat only prolongs the point at which cannibalism takes hold. Skywest and United don’t seem to mind this scenario. The best thing a prospective pilot can do is stay away from XJT, hastening the cannibalism thus hopefully forcing Skywest/United to step in and do the right thing whatever that is. Prospective XJT pilots, be merciful to current XJT pilots; stay away for your own safety, and pray for their survival!

You just asked a question and in such touched the Achilles heel of this airline...

Quote: You people don’t seem to understand basic supply and demand fundamentals. Start with an economics textbook. Endeavor received their massive increases because the attrition was off the charts and they were experiencing impending doom. If you don’t have leverage you don’t have a position of power in negotiations.

The only people that actually matter, our negotiators, actually know this concept. And they have said it directly. The more people that leave and the more uncertain our future becomes, the better it is for the pilots. That’s why they haven’t jumped the gun on a new JCBA. Just patiently waiting.
Agreed. IMHO, regional pilots have always had very little leverage.
In most companies ( all business, not just airlines), management only reacts when it has to.

I respect that XJT pilots on here tell it like it is.

There are a number of pilots on the forums encouraging people to come to their regional, so they can move up, knowing that there are major issues, and sugar coating it.

Endeavor was in bankruptcy. Their option at the time were take concessions, have a judge impose concessions without the very few goodies the BK contract had, or die. Anybody that says this doesn't know what they are talking about.

I understand the criticism of PSA, but not Endeavor.

And round and round we go!
