guys, I know there are some messages I haven't responded to. Sorry, I don't get on apc much these days.
The interview process is conducted almost exclusively by phone. The questions are to verify your times and qualifications and TAAT questions with a few technical questions. Trust me, none of these questions are hard.
My advice is if you do have any skeletons in your closet, disclose the information. There have been a couple that got sent home during the training process. The company runs your pria during training and if they find something you didn't disclose you will be let go.
As far as pay, the scales on apc are accurate. However, there is training pay until you pass your type ride. Training pay is 600.00 per week and is paid as a per diem (no taxes, paper check). You are not put on the payroll until you pass your pc.
Training consists of 1 week of CBT (indoc) which you will do from home before you come down, 3 weeks of systems (SF340 in SJU and DHC6 in STX) and about 2 weeks of sim. Saabs are in MSP and DHC6 is in Toronto.
Then you come back for ioe which is normally about 2 weeks.
The saab guys are flying about 60 hrs a month. Stx is junior and is all day trips (no per diem) and sju consists of day trips and overnights. Min days off are 13 but in all honesty you will be asked to work more and will rarely if ever have more than 13 days off a month.
The company is growing and as a result, there are massive growing pains. I hope this answers most of your questions.....
