How much can you expect to fly while on reserve?

I am averaging approximately 10 days flying a month. Most of my reserve days are airport reserve (currently we are put up in a hotel) where I was launched more than often than not. Only averaging 2 days a month in Cincinnati of not having a flight or airport reserve.

Excluding IOE, I’ve averaged 50 hrs a month of block time.

To add to that, the bid pack expanded by about 20 lines for June and the first of six aircraft coming our way (and the flying that comes with them) should arrive next month.

A lot of locals or those with crash pads like to bid not-fly reserve (it means they get reserve assignments after those who bid will-fly), and I know of at least one new-hire who was able to bid a line on his first bid off of IOE. A lot of open flying is going out on the wire as premium open time, which means the reserve coverage is minimal. You're not going to spend a lot of time sitting around, even if you want to.

While always subject to change, ABX should be placing 3 a/c into service during the month of June. Of course I would expect that 1 of them could get pushed till July, but either way there's significant additional increase in operations relative to our size in a short period of time.
