Quote: I have no idea if is right or not. I would think though that there would be an issue with being out on VEBA and doing committee work. I would bet you can’t do any work while on VEBA, but I really don’t know. Getting paid 90 hrs doesn’t seem unreasonable to me for a negotiator during that time period either.
I'm Sorry I must have read the "Request for VOLUNTEERS" wrong, I didn't see the part that you will be PAID for all ALPA time. I think the memo was incorrect, it should read as follows: "Request for Employees of the MEC", you will be paid and the best part is your hours are not tracked.

Can't Believe I Need to Explain This, in Unity...

Quote: LOL, sorry friend but I'm guessing you're not in the top 10% at HA, see you in LAX, the only difference is I will be an FO on the 787 with a year upgrade, and you will be an FO on a 737 with a 7-year upgrade because you supported the Good Ole' Boys that $*&^ you on the SLI.

Don't worry buddy... you probably aren't going to get furloughed. You can calm down a bit.

Nice pivot from “why isn’t he on VEBA” to “why aren’t we getting a forensic accounting of his ALPA pay”. The mental gymnastics are impressive. GMAFB

Why aren’t you curious about either? None of this should be the huge secrets they appear to be.

Be curious. Air it all out. Some will care, some won’t. If people really cared there’d be more people volunteering, getting involved, running for election, and showing up at meetings. Bid the time off if you want to make a spectacle.

Quote: Well Chris, 717 Captain, that would most likely mean you are junior to me, if that is the case you better start changing your tune because you will be in SFO as an FO very soon. Immature, you mean pointing out facts, why don't you do some real investigations like reviewing all the facts I pointed out? Please bring the legal game, that would expose EVERYTHING, nothing to hide here!

Ignorance is Toxic, SFO FO, in Unity...
I don't have the time or desire to go back and forth with you on this, but I haven't heard yo ask any questions on the all-calls addressing your concerns. Until I do, I won't consider your accusations credible or concerning. If money is being mismanaged, I believe the parties responsible should be held accountable. If money is simply not being managed like YOU want it to be, then run for a MEC position (I'm sure you'd get a lot of votes). I personally enjoy the PUB nights and the Christmas party. I feel unity is built by pilots getting together in a non-work environment. I'm sure the MEC will share with you how much they are spending on these events if you ask them. Also, I would not be a negotiator or write contract language for 37.5 hours of pay. So I'm not concerned that the negotiator in question received 90 hours of pay. Until you can prove that this violated terms of service or some written policy, then again I am not worried about it. I might be junior to you, I don't know. But I can say that I am not at all concerned with being forced to move to SF. You speak as if you know exactly what will happen after the SLI--you don't. Most likely an arbitrator will determine our fates objectively. Your rhetoric is not building unity. If you have valid concerns, investigate them and get others to join your cause in a mature manner, not like how you are going about it now. Have a good life...

this right here 100%

At least Fostro now knows why the negotiator wasn’t on VEBA.

The entirity of ALPA works for the pilots.
If you desire to 'find something out' you can pick up the phone(oh the humanity) and find out. From the President on down. They will answer or call back.
That is not what this is about though is it?

See you at the next LEC meeting, oh wait, no I won't.

I just read back through the other thread that he's totally demolished as well and saw that he said he filed a DART and got an answer that they were too busy to answer his question. That seems... kind of stupid. I'd love to see am actual screenshot of that DART because it sure seems like it probably never happened. And if he's lying about that I'd guess he's lying about pretty much everything.

Don't worry about me friend, I'm all set. You on the other hand better pray DOJ approves the merger because Chapter 11 is a rough road, especially when your Negotiating Chair is sitting nice and pretty with ALPA National. Keep the spin and protect the Good Ole' Boys, they will take you into a non-scheduled contract.
