Yes but only on a -100, you'll pretty much never have a problem getting on a -300 jumpseat we usually have almost a thousand pounds to spare unless it's a horrible weather day and we take a ton of fuel but that's very rare, the -300 jumpseat is far easier to get on than a crj -200 jumpseat. But you'll almost never get on a -100 jumpseat we can't even take a full load of passengers on a normal day, only with 4 or 5 kids can we take a jump on a -100

You have to do a little digging but enter the route on flightstats.com or use the app and click on more info and somewhere down there it will say whether it's a -100 or -300, most all of our -300's are down in charlotte so if your going through philly it's probably a -100

Quote: From what I heard the training department has eased up a bit and jk is no longer allowed to fire people it comes from salisbury now. I would think they're too desperate to flush fo's down the toilet but I would've thought that a long time ago and they still did but training is easy of you take it seriously and study hard just make sure you pay attention and pass the written exams the simulator is actually pretty laid back it wasn't even an issue when I went through and I flew cessna's before that with only a few hours turbine.
Hey folks, during the interview in CLT last month we were told to expect at least 1 to 2 months on reserve at any base, any truth to that or are we looking more like 6 months.

I would say if they said "at least" than yeah its relatively accurate, I wouldn't expect to be off reserve within a couple months but I would think 6 months is pretty reasonable, pdt isn't having too bad of staffing issues yet so it's not like they have extra hard lines laying around unfulfilled or anything.

2 months of build up to get u off high mins followed by 2 months of RSVP sounds more likely.

Quote: Hello, I have been selected to interview with PDT and would like to get information from anyone who has just recently interviewed. Also has anything changed with regards to your training department, From what I have been told it does not have a good track record for new hires. Any information would be helpful. Thanks!
If you can get a job with someone else, do so. For decades, the Piedmont training department has used career marring threats and intimidation to keep the pilot group under their thumb. They are in bed with their POI. At the direction of the Director of Training, JK, scores of careers have been needlessly harmed. JK is a bully, and so are his minions. Do yourself and your career a favor.

Stay away from Piedmont. There are plenty of other operators out there who are dying to have you.

Don't risk your career.

OK Thanks, Maybe I will tell them to forget it. I have heard the same advise from some of the pilots working the line. You would thing they would make changes to better there training department if they want to attract qualified pilots.
