Why does anyone think they will merge the groups. It makes little sense. There are too few Piedmonsters to make it worth eating the longevity costs. They don't need 350-400 pilots that badly at PSA.

They are not going to merge the 2 airlines and get rid of PDTs fleet. When PSA really needs applications, they'll just call ex PDT pilots out of the blue and offer them interviews...

Has anyone actually been considered for a position for with U.S. Airways? Why isn't everyone just waiting their twelve months and hoping over to mainline?

waiting their 12 months? what ar eyou talking about?

they've been cherry picking people here and there with no apparenty rhyme nor reason for who gets an interview or hired...

We dont have a flow to mainline. The twelve months is just a garbage preferential hiring agreement that is aimed at bringing warm bodies in the door. It gives no more advantage than someone applying as an outside applicant.

No. Basically, all mainline has to do is hire 3 Piedmont a month for every month they hire, and they've been keeping to that exactly. No more, no less. Who gets called for an interview seems completely random. Who they hire seems random too, I've seen them turn down some of the best Captains we have here only to pick up a couple F/Os a month later. And if you think you're going to get a call after only being here a year, think again, the one constant I've seen is they don't call junior F/Os.
