PSA is hiring a lot, filling classes and upgrading, no staffing issues at the moment.

Any idea how long reserve is? Is Roanoke a possibility soon after SOE? Thanks for your help in advance!

Most senior reserve in ROA for FEB was 7/22/13 new hire, so at least that long on reserve, probably longer as we lose flying.

Avoid this place if you can- I got out as soon as they shut down LGA. Bad predictions for pdt. Good luck to all.

How many hours can I log on reserve? A buddie of mine over at GoJet says the reservests are only getting about 15hr per month. Where will I most likely be able to hold a line the fastest? Thanks again for your help!

Do you live in ROA? If not I would not recommend Piedmont.

Piedmont was a good first airline for me a few years ago. They hired me with 550TT and gave me a chance when no one else would. I got out with a clean record , built a lot of time, and got my atp. However this airline is A Lot different than it was a few years ago. Not even our President can spin the news for our company in a positive direction.

We don't have jets, glass, hub basing, flow through, new airplanes, pbs, or even a glimpse of a future. We have been overlooked in every plan AAG has considered for refleeting. No new airplanes coming here. We are down to 39 planes with another two leaving this year. We are flying ~1000 less block hours jan 2014 compared to Jan 2013.
Lines in CHO were built with less credit than our guarantee. As a senior FO I only have 11 days off same as our min. Morale is low. The lowest I've seen since being here. Our bases are extremely hard to commute to and from.

I'm not trying to scare you, I'm not bitter and I'm not bashing the airline. Everything I've stated above is a fact. My advise is to keep doing what you are doing and sending resumes to airlines who aren't flying 30year old airplanes and losing flying.

I figured on moving to CLT, thinking that if I couldn't commute to ROA, I could drive there in a few hours. I"m not opposed to other bases, except Newburn lol. I'm hoping something good happens here, they said in the interview that the Dash is cheap maintenance and much cheaper to operate than a jet, I guess we will see if that is enough to keep PDT around.

That's great from an operational standpoint, but if passengers prefer a jet over your old turboprop, that kind of throws a wrench in the program.

Haven't meet one passenger that didn't get on the dash because it's a prop yet. Do they prefer jets ? Yes, will they get on prop? Also yes.

But yeah, if anyone that comes to pdt, please prepare urself for a lot of uncertainty.

Its when pax go through atl rather than clt because it offers jet service is when it becomes an issue. On another note, didn't Parker just recently say they're looking at refleeting pdt? You guys aren't buying it? I don't see any reason to lie about it.
