Attrition is about 2% the pilot group every month. We have a handful of amazing pilots retiring soon and some more will take early retirement with a recent win by the union. Attrition is going to increase as other opertunities come available.

The growth as told to us is only limited to getting pilots. The company has made a hell of an investment to the 145 training department. This train is full steam ahead right now. Get in now because it won't last forever.
Is that about the arbitrator's award in terms of the retirement age? If so then yes more then a few guys will pull the chute and bail at Piedmont. Great for the pilots with retirement and SS Bridge.

I've begun looking through the training materials for new hires. What should I know so that I'm ahead when I get to class? Any things to have memorized like flows?

Memory Items. There are a lot and i thought it was a pain to get all of them down cold. Other than that, the tests and required reading were more than enough to prepare you for class imho

You could do flows and immediate actions too, but i thought it made more sense after systems class. They give you handouts in class too that make them really easy. Immediate action items just memorize verbatim

You'll have time to study when you're not in class or sims... CTP ground doesn't help at all for the test

If you can study for the test early, do so.

I would focus on limitations. That was the most/hardest stuff to memorize for most guys. Lots and lots of numbers

I am considering a lateral move. I am currently on the 145 so I would mostly be interested in that and a PHL base. How many jets are on order for PDT? How many jets do you have already?

Is phl and the 145 hard to hold?
