The training footprint for the jet is as follows:
-2 weeks of ground school. Systems (1 week) in Dallas. Procedures/flows in Charlotte (1 week).
-Roughly 12-14 sim sessions then a checkride.
*New hires can expect an extra week of ground for indoc.

There is still a break of a few weeks between ground and sims. Minimal wait for OE. Keep in mind, this could all change as more instructors come online. The break between ground and sims could lessen, but the wait for OE could increase. 90 days seems about right from start to finish.
12-14 sims???!?!?!?! Why????

That's almost twice as many sims as we got at TSA (eight). Don't get me wrong... I think it's great. Investment in the success of the trainee. I'm surprised the company is willing to shell out that much cash on that many sims though. Good stuff.

Remember PDT AQP is different than most airlines. Expressjet AQP was 5 lessons- MV- LOE- LOFT. So 8. PDT makes you see EVERYTHING. For instance I never did a "control jam". We were just taught the procedure in class and that was sufficient.

No offense guys and gals but it's been discussed at nauseum on the previous pages.

Attrition is about 2% the pilot group every month. We have a handful of amazing pilots retiring soon and some more will take early retirement with a recent win by the union. Attrition is going to increase as other opertunities come available.

The growth as told to us is only limited to getting pilots. The company has made a hell of an investment to the 145 training department. This train is full steam ahead right now. Get in now because it won't last forever.
