PDT News and Rumors

No, the company can stop the flow whenever it wants. They will stop it, your union will grieve it, and it will be hung up in arbitration for 2-3 years. By that time, there will be enough newly trained pilots and the industry will be flooded again.
Look at what MK is doing at PSA (MK being a former PDT guy). PSA realized that they made a mistake in the contract when it came to critical pay, and the PSA pilots were the highest paid in the industry. They just simply stopped paying critical pay as agreed to in the contract. It was a blatant violation of the contract. That was almost 2 years ago, and it is still in arbitration. After that, it will be negotiated. It will be another year before anyone sees anything.
The same thing will happen with the flow at all 3 WO'd once they run out of pilots. The flow will stop. Period. Or, even better, just shut that airline down, shift the pilots to the others, and they no longer have to flow those pilots.
The flow will not we here in 18 months.

Depends, if Piedmont get to their future growth then they'd be the fastest. Look what I wrote, I said out of the 3 Piedmont PROBABLY has the fastest. We are talking about the regionals and things are always changing. So I'll say this if Piedmont grows to what they want it WILL have the fastest flow of the 3.
There you go!

You think it's only the WO carriers at American that are struggling? It's all the regionals and even a few National Carriers. That's why I think American will eventually take over all the flying. Then I think they will make a big group 1 a/c order and will probably put the WO pilots on the seniority list at American.

Yep, pilot shortage. RJ's going away. Large order of C-Series or E-195 E2's! Swing the carrot over mainline pilot with more Wide Bodies with more pay. Baam you'll have folks flying around Planes about the size of the Airbus 319's for less money.
