Well if you compare it to PSA/ENVOY they probably aren't lying. Just don't wait the for the flow. Get your PIC time and Apply to the other Legacy carriers.

Yes, I say just staple them to the bottom and go from there. You like your seniority on the CRJ/ERJ then you can hang out and keep it. If you want to move up to Group 1 planes then that's fine also because the plane will still be kinda junior. You want to wait till you can hold a line as a FO on Group 2 then its up to you.
I say staple the WOs on the bottom and many problem could be solved getting pilots.

Piedmont's flow being the fastest is tied to the seniority list growing. It's pretty clear that is not happening right now, even with a hub base and fleet growth.
Envoy's flow is projected at 6 years, even with the company taking the minimum. It's true, without new hires, the company would have to park airplanes to continue the flow. It's unlikely, but contractually, that's what's required.
So stop saying Piedmonts flow is the fastest. It's clearly not under the current conditions. Upgrade is definitely the fastest of the wholly owned's, but not flow.

Depends, if Piedmont get to their future growth then they'd be the fastest. Look what I wrote, I said out of the 3 Piedmont PROBABLY has the fastest. We are talking about the regionals and things are always changing. So I'll say this if Piedmont grows to what they want it WILL have the fastest flow of the 3.
There you go!

No, the company can stop the flow whenever it wants. They will stop it, your union will grieve it, and it will be hung up in arbitration for 2-3 years. By that time, there will be enough newly trained pilots and the industry will be flooded again.
Look at what MK is doing at PSA (MK being a former PDT guy). PSA realized that they made a mistake in the contract when it came to critical pay, and the PSA pilots were the highest paid in the industry. They just simply stopped paying critical pay as agreed to in the contract. It was a blatant violation of the contract. That was almost 2 years ago, and it is still in arbitration. After that, it will be negotiated. It will be another year before anyone sees anything.
The same thing will happen with the flow at all 3 WO'd once they run out of pilots. The flow will stop. Period. Or, even better, just shut that airline down, shift the pilots to the others, and they no longer have to flow those pilots.
The flow will not we here in 18 months.

You think it's only the WO carriers at American that are struggling? It's all the regionals and even a few National Carriers. That's why I think American will eventually take over all the flying. Then I think they will make a big group 1 a/c order and will probably put the WO pilots on the seniority list at American.
I'm about 180 numbers from the flow right now. We have some attrition with people leaving and there are a lot of new faces in this company. My apps are getting positive returns from frontier, Alegent and spirit. I have a feeling if I hold out one more year here and upgrade i won't be waiting for the flow. United would top of my list but we shall see.
This summer travel season is going to be a game changer for the airlines. A 5 percent increase is already predicted over last year.
The economy is strong, gas is cheap, crazy Americans want to travel.
