And being able to figure out an entry procedure to an illegal hold in literally an instant isn't important in any aviation job. "They gave us the hold instructions 2 seconds from the fix, what do we do?" Unable.

Doesn't your guy's box figure out the holding pattern?

We have two different boxes.. one can hold but... no one trusts it.. as far as the hold.. in training if you get PF, you will get wrong holding instructions 5 miles before the fix and PF expects you to query.

Today AC approach gave us the wrong holding instructions within 5-miles of VCN. Like R Rehab said, trust, but verify.
