We have two different boxes.. one can hold but... no one trusts it.. as far as the hold.. in training if you get PF, you will get wrong holding instructions 5 miles before the fix and PF expects you to query.

Today AC approach gave us the wrong holding instructions within 5-miles of VCN. Like R Rehab said, trust, but verify.

How can you be fired for being sick? PDT would have a nice fat lawsuit staring them in their face the next day.

Ask anyone that's worked here if what I said was wrong. You are wrong in that it would have to go the the grievance process prior to any lawsuit and that takes months....

this place... I really thought it turned a corner. Guess not.

I wasn't doubting you. If someone caused me to lose my chance at getting on with a major, I'd sue the living chit out of them, regardless of any grievance process pending. Even if I got reinstated and did flow, I'd still sue for mental anguish while my case was pending for not knowing if I would win and not knowing if I'd flow to get on with the major.

Does this crap happen often, or is this a rarity?
What were the circumstances that scheduling had to extend this guy, especially on Christmas right before flowing. That's BS.

I can tell you that there're lot more JM lately for capt since we're so short and a spike during the holiday isn't rare neither. There's absolutely no excuse for what happened to him, I would call the chief immediately and see what happens. Perhaps he did, we don't know.
I been JM once for the 8 years I been here, I'm sure everybody's experience is different. Best of luck to him and his future at AA.

Not that often really...I agree the situation sucks though. The problem happens when you are the last crew in at night and they allegedly had called everyone else. It's tag, you're it. They called me twice for a voluntary JRM (I've done my quota for the year already) but I just couldn't get there in time since I'm halfway across the land.
