PDT News and Rumors

JM man calls been going out here at PSA a lot too. Rode the Jumpseat on PDT not too long ago and the pilots both said you guys are starting to have a harder time filling classes. Same is happening here now too. No clue about Envoy... AAG needs to improve all of our contracts if their flow up programs are going to work. No one will flow if the regionals can't hire.

so open flying was usually covered by junior mans
as long as certain parties remain at, and in charge, things like this wont change.

Not that often really...I agree the situation sucks though. The problem happens when you are the last crew in at night and they allegedly had called everyone else. It's tag, you're it. They called me twice for a voluntary JRM (I've done my quota for the year already) but I just couldn't get there in time since I'm halfway across the land.

JRmanning there's no many, usually they have enough reserves to cover the flying.

My step dad told me, "Son if someone shows you who they really are then you better believe them."
That being said one that is sad for me was that we actually had a Captain Retire after 30 years. The guy was awesome! Didn't bend metal, ran a great cockpit, was even a check airman! Even was involved in making Piedmont one of the better paying airlines in the industry during the time it was a few days from striking. Safely for 30 years he flew for Piedmont! Blood, sweat and tears!!!!
He retired a few weeks ago and he didn't get a call, a letter, a thank you for your service! He got nothing at all! How can that happen?

It can happen because we are all just a cog in the wheel of the massive machine that is AAG now. Its like that in most giant mega-corps though. It isn't strictly the airlines. At the end of the day, management doesn't give a hoot about its workers, only its share holders. Sad but true.
It's sometimes the small things that make the biggest difference.
