Yes it will! Many might hold off until they know they can get east coast bases. Union put a letter warning people.

How long would it take to get back to a east coast base from a LAA base?

Could be years because the seniority list are separate. That's why a few will bypass.

well you pass you lose seniority, so bypass has a long term negative cost.

Not to bad really as the hiring will be crazy over the next few years. Many at Piedmont live in the Northeast and many really wanted PHL or DCA which are really easy commutes. Many of the ones flowing now are older with kids in college or close to it. Waiting a few months and getting PHL could be worth it over getting LAX, DFW or MIA especially since it going to take a long time get the list together.

Most of the guys flowing right now are 60 anyways. Ok now you'll get some 50 something that's going to wait a little while. Then he/she will still retire in 15 years. What's a year to somebody like that?

Exactly! These guys just want to spend time at home more then anything. The glamour of overnights has been long gone.

I was wondering can a new hire get west coast LAX emb145 FO out of training. Or how long would it to get Lax base on emb145
