The former. Gotta help you make room for your mini 737s.

If you commute from MEM also don't forget FedEx to any of your potential employers. ROA , MDT, and PHL all have nonstops to MEM on FedEx and the flight times can be quite convenient when you finish at 9pm and FedEx leaves around 10pm. They also arrive early enough that you can commute to almost any morning trips.

Last month, total of 7 FO was on RSV in the entire system. Rsv time right now for some base are none. In ROA, probably 2 months.

Follow up to this.... When I was at my interview, we were told that one could bid a different base each month and in fact one person was jumping from base to base to check each of them out. If that is true, is it possible to predict, then bid, any base with the idea of holding a line there?

I start class Aug 17, so who knows what things will be like whenever I finish SOE. :-)

Yes Movement is going to be fast. Once the first batch of ERJ's start training the flood gates will be opened. Whatever Base you want shouldn't be a problem at all. Congrats and you have hit the regional airline jack pot. Flow, addition planes, good contract, good bennies! Years and Years of hardship at Piedmont is about to change.
Good Luck I think you've made a great choice to come here and your timing is pretty damn good also.

I also have the 17th for my class date. Any advice on jumping from the dash to the 145? I really love that ill get to fly the dash but if the other type rating is just sitting out there for the taking.. I feel like I should grab it if I have the chance. And as far as the dash training goes anyone have an average timeline for completing that. I know a guy who was at AWAC who did sims for 4 months because availability was really tight... Any insite?

They are using Sims in Toronto and CLT. The problem isn't going to be the sims but keeping a steady stream of instructors because the flow will be taking a ton by the summers end.
The focus will be greater on the 145's. Enjoy the dash while you can because I don't see many of you guys being it long at all.

Thanks, Billyho. I think I'm making a good choice for my current situation. The salary will never equal what I made in India commanding an ATR, but I'm going to see my house (which the Indian money bought) a whole lot more frequently. The folks at PDT seem like a good group and I think I'll fit in well. I'm looking forward to meeting you sometime.

Yes and you've positioned yourself well in terms of upgrading and flowing to American.
