Want to blame someone??? Blame ALPA!! They sit back and let this crap happen! I lost respect for ALPA when they allowed PDT,ALG and PSA to get played by management. Was a absolute joke!!!

Were you going to personally hire PSA pilots who lost their jobs? Were you going to start a donation drive to help give money to the out of work pilots at PSA like ALPA did in its beginnings? The ALPA we have today is not the ALPA of yesteryear. They aren't for pilot unity. They don't care about the whipsaw. People can attack PSA all they want, but they only did what they had to to keep their jobs and to grow their airline. And by the way, the new rates that were voted in were barely concessionary, and gains were made in other parts of the contract.

True. As long as the regionals are represented by ALPA and not a seperate union were stuck.

Alpa is just not interested in financial gains for regional members imo. Its interested in keeping the majors pilots contracts high by outsourcing cheap labor.

When ALPA signs off on contracts back in the day to fly a 145 cheaper then we flew a 37 seat Props something is wrong. Actually back in the day our Flight Attendants made more money then Mesa RJ's FO's when you factored in the contract and bennies. Mesa however has seen big gains since that time and that's no longer the case, but it was back then.

Look at Republic now. Flying a 175 mainline size plane for much less then any 50 seat RJ operator when you factor in their crappy work rules and crappy benefits. The system is broken and ALPA just keeps on signing off. Until that stops there will be NO UNITY at the regional level.

It is what it is!!

Ask our Negotiating committee and mec vice chair what happened when all the regionals were together in Herndon last year prior to PDT negotiating LOA 19. That'll answer all of your questions as to why and how all this happened. ALPA NATIONAL and the other fee for departure carriers is where a huge majority of the blame lies

Yes, Sheppard Air is what I'm hearing for getting the test done.

Good Luck to everyone! Good time to be coming to Piedmont and that's something we haven't been able to say for many years!!! Exciting times!

Looking to make the jump from 135 to 121 in the next year. PDT is number 1 on my list. The flow is nice and I can live in base (Philly). How is the overall treatment of pilots?
