Nothing is ever set in stone but we've already taken delivery of the first 145 from Envoy and trained pilots to fly it so barring the FAA shutting the whole thing down the 145s are happening and my understanding is there will be more than 20 (most likely 60 total) on property when all is said and done. MDT, SBY, ROA, PHL are the bases for the dash, PHL is the only base for the 145 so far. All bases for the dash can be had before you exit training. You will most likely spend a month or less on reserve before holding a line. No new hires in the 145 for the foreseeable future which is like 6 months-1 year at this point.

6 years to aa hired today. Pure BS. Can't believe they're still posting that crap. Upgrade at less than a year

From what I have been told the program is almost there. All the manuals have been approved. Line pilots are in training now. Proving runs start next month. We should be getting two more next month. Revenue service starts early February with three planes. I think we will start flying them on time, but it won't be pretty. I would not rely on a Piedmont E145 to make my commute. At least for the first few months.

The latest bid has 13 upgrades altogether, both dash and 145. Never seem a big class like this ever since I been here. I'm sure this will bring the upgrade time down to less than a year for those who are comfortable and have the times.

So what does this mean for a new hire and upgrade. Suppose I was to come to PDT in a month or two. I was told by a recruiter that all Dash's will be gone by 2017. By the time I'm ready to upgrade in the dash they will be phasing them out. Would I be upgraded in the 145 with no SIC time or do I have to fly that for a certain amount of time. It just seems that for a new hire it could be a long time to upgrade given that scenario. Any comments?
