So I've been running some numbers and this upgrade time which I have been told from multiple people is currently 1-1.4yrs doesn't seem to jive. I was told there are approximately 160 pilots at PDT opting not to flow. Just hanging out waiting to retire. It would have to shrink if it's only 20 145's and all the dash's are gone by 17. Unless of course ultimately they bring more 145's on board. With 160 just hanging around it seems there is a lot less potential for senior FO's to move up the ladder. I just don't want to be stuck as an FO forever, I can wait 5-7 on the flow but not on minimum wage. What kind of attrition numbers are you guys seeing on average, upgrades, and flow throughs a month? Any truth to the 160 lifers? I know there is no way to know the future but I'd be curious if anyone has some current numbers. Also, I have been told the flow agreement with American is good for the next 10 years, is there a contract between the two confirming this?

Closer to 60 who are not flowing. We do lose a bunch of Dash's but not all of them in 17. Lastly, our president wants to grow the ERJ indefinitely. How many that is all depends on staffing. I hear 40 up to 160!? But the movement will continue. Upgrade will stay at a year for those with the time for awhile. Good luck!

Thanks, Is the flow agreement contracted for the next 10 years? Is that accurate info?

You'll be Billy's FO then, so he can fill you in 😝 Just relax, everything is going to be great for a whole lot of us.

Yes it is..10 years from the signing of Letter of Agreement 19. This was signed in late 2014/early 2015 I can't remember exactly.

Great thanks! Guess I'll see you guys after training. I hear the sims are backed up about a month or so but oh well. Reserve time is still minimal from what I hear so that is a plus.

Right now the upgrade time is just under a year and we have not even started our fleet expansion. It took me 2.5 years to upgrade and we shrank by 6 airframes over that time. Now we are growing. I think the upgrade time will be low for a wile... Current flows are going around seniority number 80. So we have roughly 80 lifers on property. I think realistically if you have prior 121 you will upgrade in less then a year. As far as flow, 5-7 years is what I would expect.

Hiring 25/ month (per the latest blast mail) which is a lot for a small airline. Sim back up is at 10 weeks right now at minimum guarantee, with flight benefits and CASS. So do some traveling.

Our interview group was told 5-7 weeks as of earlier this week. Hopefully not actually 10.
