There were only 3 guys in my interview, and I was told they only hold interviews on Mondays once a week. I don't know if the other two were offered positions but I'm pretty certain they were.

How real are the numbers PDT is claiming? Ive read some speculation on here, but regarding the upgrades and flows? is it actually 18months and 5 years or whatever they claim. Or are we looking at a similar situation as what people say is going on at envoy?

This depends on when you get on. The earlier the better and remember the growth hasn't even started yet.
We just announced 13 upgrades for Jan. Even a class for the EMB 145's. If hired today I'd say about 5-6 years to flow. Remember the benefits of the flow isn't just a job at American. People will come on here and cry and complain about the flow and it's usually all those that don't have one. You'll upgrade and get PIC time and you can apply to any airline you want.
The flow not only helped me get to American (US Airways was my choice because of the EastCoast bases) but over the course of the last 8-9 months at Piedmont I kept moving up the seniority list. QOL is a big issue at a regional and the faster you gain seniority the more control you'll have over your schedule. I went from getting the last two garbage lines every month to getting my top 2-3 choices right before it was time to go to American.
Basically with the flow you'll always have movement and over the next 5-8 years there will be tons of movement at American.
There's tons of choices out there for anyone. Right now Piedmont went from being a bad choice to a pretty damn good one.
Good Luck.

I was in a November class and we had some upgrades join us. I know at least one upgrade was an August 14' hire.
As far as the flow, the seniority list is at 490. I think they're taking 4 a month. I'm not sure what attrition is outside of that. The flow will also go up to 5 at some point.

The flow can only increase from 3 a month as the airline grows. For every 125 above 350 added to the seniority list the flow increases by one per month. It doesn't matter if PDT becomes short staffed, the flow continues irregardless. Technically the agreement does not prevent you from being hired off the street but IMO you would need some serious connections to get a call outside the flow.

For anybody familiar with the ROA and CLT flight schedules, how hard would it be to commute to ROA from CLT on the same days that you start and finish your trips?
Looking at AA.com, it seems there are 8 flights daily between CLT-ROA in each direction (looking at a random weekday in January), so there is a good amount of frequency at least. Are there typically many non-revs/commuters on this segment?
Charlotte is where my family wants to settle and if the schedules are such that we can live in CLT while being based in ROA with a minimal impact to QOL, that would be preferred, otherwise we are willing and able to live in ROA for awhile.
I just accepted a class date for February. Looking forward to getting started. Thanks.
