Group 1 as essentially a B scale? Kind of like what candel did back in the 80s. Wouldn't be surprised.

Yep, pilot shortage. RJ's going away. Large order of C-Series or E-195 E2's! Swing the carrot over mainline pilot with more Wide Bodies with more pay. Baam you'll have folks flying around Planes about the size of the Airbus 319's for less money.

Because of the inability to hire? It's not like Envoy is sitting pretty with guys beating down the door. "One" new hire month to date.

Look at what MK is doing at PSA (MK being a former PDT guy). PSA realized that they made a mistake in the contract when it came to critical pay, and the PSA pilots were the highest paid in the industry. They just simply stopped paying critical pay as agreed to in the contract. It was a blatant violation of the contract. That was almost 2 years ago, and it is still in arbitration. After that, it will be negotiated. It will be another year before anyone sees anything.

The same thing will happen with the flow at all 3 WO'd once they run out of pilots. The flow will stop. Period. Or, even better, just shut that airline down, shift the pilots to the others, and they no longer have to flow those pilots.

The flow will not we here in 18 months.
This is a very good picture of what I expect to happen. It's very difficult to believe that there are a pack of Envoy guys here that are still drinking the flow juice.

Unfortunately, it's more than that because clearly they have already been working hard without much growth to show for it.

One airline is projecting growth, the other is not. Apple meet orange.

At envoy the pilots are still flowing and so far it has been a 12% return rate for the AA recalls. In case you're bad with math, that's less recalls than projected which is a good thing.

If it stops you can say I told you so.

I'm glad Envoy pilots are flowing. Every one of them deserves it after putting up with Eaglevoy for many years. What I can't figure out is, those here that seemingly ignore the need for new hire replacements to keep the flow moving beyond the 824.

Envoy ALPA even put out a hard number of 38 new hires per month, every month going forward to keep the flow moving.

As others have said, and you are seemingly ignoring, is that a merger is a likely scenario in the near future. New hires just keep the boat floating along for the time being.

Now if you'd be so kind, we can continue this in the other thread since it's more applicable there.

Anyone go to the Crew News on 5/19. Looks like we won't be parking the MD-80's. Heard he wants them to stay to start covering Republic Flying since they are in BK.
