If you don't get the time, you have to go back and take your checkride again.
Yes. This. Filler

That I can't answer for sure. It did not seem to be an issue, though. The guys running our classes were pretty straight forward with us. I'm back at my old desk job now waiting for the call. Half of my class start sims tomorrow, we ended ground Monday. They were trying to push through the 7/31 expiring folks first.

During PSA's backlog, quite a few had to go back to the sim and do it all over again.

Yeah, hope I don't end up in that situation. Even a month delay from sims to SOE can hurt.

I haven't heard of a single pilot that had to requal due to consolidation of knowledge. Most pilots are having minimal delay from checkrides to SOE. 3 days or so. I'm also pretty sure that scheduling has high mins FOs on their first out list until they have their time.

This is correct. If anyone had to go back to re-qual it was a one-off situation. High mins FOs and CAs are first priority.

I never imagined that it would be a problem at PDT. PDT is a small airline, but there are very few new hires as well.

PSA was hiring 60+ a month, and all new hires had to do IOE on one airplane (200 or 700), and then do differenced OE on the other. That is a LOT of flight hours to try to schedule each month for training.

And at the same time, there were anywhere from 20 to 30 upgrades a month to do Captain OE as well.

PDT will likely not experience the same situation.

I heard the limitations test is being changes to a fraction of what there used to be..

I was told today straight from the scheduling source to expect 'soon' for start of SOE. It did not sound like it would be immediate.

Take that for what you will.
