I wouldn't call it ignorance. Unprofessional maybe? But you PSA yes voters act like we all missed some gem in your new contract, like we just don't understand why it was such a great deal and need to be educated. I have the language. It was a bad deal and you jumped at it and sold the whole profession out in the process, and your big excuse was that you needed to do it to save your jobs and improve career progression.
And FYI, I didnt vote anything in. I just dont understand the sour taste at PSA right now. But what do I know, I've only been in the industry for a few years now

In all honesty the best hope for Piedmonters now is a merger with one of the other wholly pwnds or a straight flow to mainline and just bleed us out as we park aircraft. Those are the two things the union should be pushing for now. We won't get a refleet and we won't find other dashes now so we should be collectively finding other ways off this sinking ship.
As for the individual Piedmonter it can be a tough decision on what to do at this point. Do you stick it out and hope for salvation or just bail (make a lateral move to another regional). In my opinion for the newer F/Os, the answer is easy, bail. Get out as quick as you can. The more senior F/Os like myself have the toughest decision. We are waiting on the upgrade that's not getting any closer, but most of us have grown somewhat accustomed to making 40-45k a year and can't take the shock of starting back at 26/hr. If we wait it out we might do ok in a merger or we might get a call from mainline or another major carrier, or we might end up comaird and most likely find jobs starting from the bottom at another regional. Personally I'm riding it out here until something better pops up. Finally there are the senior captains and the lifers who are going to sink with the ship. The junior captains are most of the guys and gals that are getting picked up by the majors and shouldn't have a problem getting out of here either way.
Sorry for the long winded post, just laying out what I think the situation is here.

Honestly I hope we don't get a turn, because I'm afraid of how our pilot group would vote. Unlike PSA, we are in danger of shutting down due to the difficulties with our fleet and I think a lot of guys would jump at any offer put across the table that included some guaranteed future in the new American. And if we voted some crummy deal in, I would understand if someone called us "****mont" on the radio. Because I would know collectively we let a lot of people down.

In one of the recent crew news, Parker was asked about pdt's future. His answer was " we're looking to refleet assuming we can come to an agreement on a contract". To me that sounds like you'll be offered a PSA type sh;t sandwich soon.

What did you expect him to say in that situation?
