Quote: QUITE A FEW hired directly to a legacy and countless others indirectly hired at a National/LCC/Freight/Legacy you name it. The direct hires were a matter of timing and here we go with the accident bs.

For starters GIA in its entire existence had 0 accidents 0 fatalities.

ALL the pilots involved held FAA ISSUED pilot certificates from Commercial Pilot to ATP. All pilots involved PASSED type ratings from their respective airline whether it was CMR, PNCL, COLGAN. More than one went to Riddle, what is your point?

I thought so. More sh!t shoveling. Give it a rest. Your argument does not hold water.
I believe I have gotten into your craw.

Nah, just countering you with the facts.

I was at Pinnacle and worked with a pile of them. None got hired at DL until this latest cycle with the SSP, nor did any get on at NW or CO. I didn't hear about any at FDX or UPS, either. Plenty ended up at the LCC's (the only ones remaining from my newhire class still at 9E are streamers).
There were three brothers and I'm sure you know them. They were excellent guys. Yes they were from Gulfstream and went to Pinnacle. Oldest one went to Continental on the 757/767 at age 24. I think he went directly from the left seat of a Beech 1900 to Continental. I never flew with him, but the next two I flew with and they were very nice top-notch guys. The middle one went to Fedex while in his upper 20s and the youngest one recently went to Delta at 30.

I don't recall them- don't get me wrong, some were absolutely top notch that came from GIA. It also just to happened that the lowest functioning were also from GIA, haha (think of 3701 as well as the MKE accident- I was the last guy to survive flying with the 3701 captain). Like I've said, the only ones remaining from my newhire class were GIA, as well as many other classes).

I said earlier fatal airline accidents in the US the last decade... each and every one has included at least one streamer. The most recent UPS was the first to buck the trend.

I am not aware of an MKE accident. Who, when?

So what? What is your point?

Pinnacle, Jan 2005. No one was hurt (that is why I didn't include it in the list). Had a hyd failure after departing LGA- continued on to MKE despite the first line in the checklist reading "land as soon as possible." Overflew nice weather in BUF, DTW, GRR only to land in a snowstorm in MKE.

They departed the runway more or less immediately upon touchdown and went skidding right through the thankfully empty Midwest Express ramp. Then taxiied the very very bent and battered airplane to the gate. It was bent bad enough to where they couldn't get the cockpit door open.

Gulfstream has a stank, of course.
