Excessively long is the pilots hired in 2007 that did basic indoctrination over 4 years later!

He/she might be one of the unfortunate pilots about to lose their job at the end of the month. So I can understand the urgency if that is the case.

Yes exactly. I'm not downplaying the guys that got stuck in a pool but I don't believe the company doing the recent interviews is pooling guys up. Pre-COVID the wait was around two weeks. Just wondering if anyone heard anything.

From Senior VP of Flight Ops today:

”In addition to getting trips into the bid pack and PSIT process to address system volume, we will continue to accelerate hiring a significant number of pilots, over 845 in the next 18 months.”
