Getting forced into E-190 CA isn't a bad deal if you live in PHL. Second year E190 CA pay is a lot higher than second year A320 FO. Short call in base isn't bad.

Quote: PHL 190 if you can get it. Absolutely positively you will be able to displace to the AB in PHL when you get kicked off if you can't bid into it before then. If you can't get the 190, LGA as a second best option.

Although you didn't say what direction you are from PHL. If south, also that may change things as you'd be closer to DCA and BWI flying.

If you can get the E190 I wouldn't even bid off if it does go away as planned. It will probably be fall of 2020. Stay on it and displace without a seat lock.

Yeah. I’m south of Philly. Almost equidistant to DCA BWI and PHL.

Does it look like they will keep sending more bodies to the 190, I hate to get stuck at the bottom on it.

190 is the best kept secret... hands down, for anyone looking for QOL in the NE and the ability to drive to work. Enough can’t be said about not stressing over a commute! Pair that with massive improvement in seniority quickly... and you’re on an easy jet to fly, no commute, with a great schedule. Take it and enjoy the great life for a year or 2, then bid whatever you want and have great seniority there as well!

E190 will be gone before he is eligible to upgrade.

Possibly. MAX needs to be back in service and our deliveries all caught back up.

If it's not back by the end of next year most if not all of the suppliers will be bankrupt and the entire industry will have bigger problems!! The 787 was only down four months.

I'm actually starting to think the MAX will never fly again.

I don’t think so either. In fact, even though it wouldn’t be my first choice, 190 CA is probably a good gig for a local. I just wanted to mention it because even some on property are surprised to find out who can be forced into the left seat, and it’s better that newhires come knowing the facts in advance.

The last batch of emails released with the engineers saying they wouldn't put their family on it was reeeeeeally bad PR. It certainly didn't help.
