Quote: Don't worry about him, USMCFDX is a troll and constant complainer. Maybe that's the way he was taught to do things in the Corps, HOORAH!!!!!! He will never be satisfied and will always find a reason to degrade people. I have always enjoyed your professional input. We have not always seen eye to eye on every issue, but your professionalism in discussion is appreciated.
I believe it is technically called the Marine Corp., Inc.

lol that is rich. Thanks for quoting nowork, I have blocked him as he is the true troll so 8 don’t see his stuff. Just notice that he never posts anything FedEx specific only generalities because he doesn’t work here.

The only thing I have been complaining about is ALPA’s pancake plan and their effort to ruin our retirement plan.

Quote: Calling names now?

Here is a direct quote from you:

I questioned the ability to be familiar with all parts of the contract because it’s almost 600 pages, the sub section alone is almost 10 pages. And then you came back and said you know where to find sub and read it every time, and that the important thing is you know it exists. So if you have to read it every time, are you actually familiar with it? Or can we just get away with knowing that certain things exist and where to find it? To me, those are completely separate things.

You stated an absolute. One in which I feel is absurd considering the breadth and depth of the document. The guy was wrong in his answer about picking up out of base. Someone else will be wrong about a different section. And I’ll bet that even you can also be stumped.

Sorry, you took offense to being called out, like you called out that guy.

[/tool]
Look up the definition of familiar, my term, and your term absolute.

I called out the guy for giving a ridiculous answer to a basic section of our contract.

I didn’t take offense at your ignorant post.

Once again, are you familiar with all parts of the contract that is almost 600 pages? I simply don’t believe that you are. Until you are, then I won’t take issue with your post as you did that poster, glass houses and all. Someone just created the umpteenth thread about sub. I await your sanctimonious post there as well.

I’ll leave it at that.

Looking at the latest bid packs, how senior is reserve going on the 777 in ANC?

If one were to take a 777 to ANC as a new hire, how long would it take to hold a line? What about one with deadheads?

I live in LIT and would like to fly international...just wondering if QOL in ANC would support doing so initially if that was the only 777 available when it was my turn in the drop (7xxx last 4)

I don't know what I don't know, sorry!!

Thanks!

The bidpack is way to new to answer those questions. You would need to wait until there are more crews there to even see what kind of trips will actually be flown. Until then there will probably be not much reserve at all.

The base isn’t open yet for the 777. I’d say that’s an ambitious plan though as a commuter. A technique might be to take the 757 initially so you don’t have a seat lock and then jump to the triple/MD on the next bid once you (we) have more clarity.

It's not open yet, but according to this post new hires are being assigned ANC 777 already.

What’s the schedules like on the Airbus and 75? Are there a lot of long flights? What are they typically like?

Shorter than the triple. Longer than the caravan.
