Quote: You guys totally miss the point of this thread. If I wait until official word is out from those who do the hiring, then what good is it and what will we have to fight about?

Furthermore, it's tough to read these boards, or talk to someone, who speaks like they're so dumbfounded with what the company is doing when mgmt has so clearly telegraphed it. The problem is dudes can't get over their cognitive bias, and then they spew out their perpetually negative misinformed view of everything. Meanwhile the poolies, hopefuls, and the bottom few % are left to read and wonder if they should go somewhere else because United is all doom and gloom when that is most certainly not the reality.

On the flip side, I've received enough PMs to know there is some positivity amongst the group...the positive ones are just lurkers.

You guys do know we've been interviewing the XJT CPP dudes throughout the summer right?
if people make personal decisions based on forum posts then Darwin is showing his face.

after reading several of your posts, I have determined you have no idea what you're talking about. But please, tell us more about how we should interpret your opinion.

Lower your expectations Grasshopper and plan accordingly. Good things come to those who wait. Frustration to those who plan too early.

Much like our poolies who have been treading water for almost a year.

Of course being new doesn't diminish your talent to look at data, but many of us have seen this show a couple of times.

My favorite imagined axiom from Confucius; He who plans early, plans often!

Mgmts in general would do better to set low expectations and then exceed them, poor mgmts seem to do quite the opposite, quite frequently.
