CPP interview doesn't do the TSA, so NO INSTRUCTOR required -> less TK resource intensive. They did the same LAST SUMMER. 15 a day for 3 days a week. Those pilots are in the building less than 2 hours, usually less than 90 minutes.
The majority of the pilots that will go in the next newhire class interviewed a year and many well over a year ago.
Those that interviewed THIS summer won't likely go till next summer at the SOONEST, IF it's 1200 next year. End of year/beginning 2019 if the projection goes down. But hey, that's NEVER HAPPENED......
And the ever elusive round 2 issue has yet to be clarified. Which can alter/change when this summer's interviewed pilots will go to UAL.
To sum it up, the interviewing of CPP pilots is not at all an indication of off the street hiring.
That's not Debbie downer/negative nancy, that's just FACT.
Or label it INFORMED as opposed to misinformed.

You guys totally miss the point of this thread. If I wait until official word is out from those who do the hiring, then what good is it and what will we have to fight about?
Furthermore, it's tough to read these boards, or talk to someone, who speaks like they're so dumbfounded with what the company is doing when mgmt has so clearly telegraphed it. The problem is dudes can't get over their cognitive bias, and then they spew out their perpetually negative misinformed view of everything. Meanwhile the poolies, hopefuls, and the bottom few % are left to read and wonder if they should go somewhere else because United is all doom and gloom when that is most certainly not the reality.
On the flip side, I've received enough PMs to know there is some positivity amongst the group...the positive ones are just lurkers.
You guys do know we've been interviewing the XJT CPP dudes throughout the summer right?

If you tell the truth then you're negative and all about doom and gloom? Some of us here are verbalizing what we actually see, and have seen, as opposed to what we're told in updates.
For those of us that you claim to be negative can you point out where we are misinformed?

None, in my third year like already stated, but none of that means I'm unable to do an analysis. If one's argument is based on past performance and not present data, you can easily see the flaw. This is investing. Investing in equities, housing, careers, futures, etc. Present and forward looking data, not past.

Broseph, with all due respect, my thread is based on what I have seen and currently see, and opposes what we were told for hiring in 2018. So are you with me or against me?

"Update your apps folks. 2018 is going to be big."
What do you see and what have you seen to back that up other than some updates?
