New vacancy bid posted today for 10 777 Captains and 8 747 Captains, so hopefully that may translate into a little more hiring off the street.

Great news..... do you know whats driving the vacancy, more aircraft coming?

777: taking a new DHL bird in the fall.

747: captain staffing has whittled down due to a few retirements and transitions to the triple. It was time.

Thank you very much, glad to see a company experiencing some growth... So I understand thats the fourth 777, I can't remember is there one more coming or is that all thats confirmed for now?

Last I heard was this one in the fall that we’re staffing for now plus one more in the spring. So two more triples in total. Haven’t heard if 400s will be parked but I doubt it.

no...that would not be a safe assumption

I’d imagine some of the 18 vacancies will be filled by -400 FOs. We seem to be short both seats. I’m hoping some hiring gets done.
