Probably best to update his resume anyway...ATI will agree to fly your 777's even if it means a pay cut. And the crews will line up with their pants around their ankles to get it.

What kind of scope or merger protection is in the new OMNI CBA?

Pulling out the contract to look at that now....

The union did just put out a memo (about 2 hours later) stating that ATSG "used to be Teamsters" but isn't any longer and that they were "trying to get back". So, with my limited understanding, they won't be compelled to follow an ALPA type merger policy.

For now, they "claim" that nothing will change and OAI will continue to operate as normal. That press release does seem to have them drooling over the 777s.
I guess the good news is, for years people said the problem with OAI was that it was privately owned and that when the old man died, the business would go away. At least for now, that fear can be put to rest.

And the whipsaw will continue...

How does the ABX DHL 767 scope clause apply to OMNI? Just curious.
The conference call mentions using the OMNI 777 platform to bid for the new DHL 777 order that will be showing up over the next couple of years... It appears that most of their 767's are flying military passengers.

The Scope at ABX applies to any other carriers under the ATSG umbrella....

ATSG is not an airline..it is the parent company.
