The CBA is scope protected and the pay rates are protected as well in event of merger/acquisition. It will be a few years at least before the whipsaw starts to have an effect. For the time being our current management structure will remain in place and the company will continue to be run out of Tulsa.
Apart from the union / CBA items this is subject to change because 48 hours ago nobody knew we were for sale.

Thanks! Nice factual post..most appreciated. So if I got the job sounds like I'd have till the end of the current CBA before it got ugly, hypothetically at least.

To be honest, no one on this forum or within current crew company ranks knows exactly what this sale entails or precisely how it will play out. Everyone is just speculating at this point. As previous poster suggested, the best thing to do is to wait for a little while and see where this is headed. There are just too many possible outcomes at this point, some good and some bad. In theory, crews should be protected with the current CBA scopes and pay scales, but once lawyers get involved who knows. Good luck

That would certainly be more "APC" like...
I dunno...I don't have the choice to make until if/when I'm offered job but it won't be an easy one to make now with all this goin on. I'm actually wondering if the hiring will stop for a while anyway. I wouldn't be surprised a bit if all the interview invites get cancelled.

You guys all realize that all the ATSG executives are reading these threads to gauge what you all are thinking. They will all deny it but they all do it. I have seen the back stage of one or two of these forums and the ip addresses are always the same. Your best strategy is to not post anything at all and if you do make it as disinformative as possible. Acknowledge nothing, deny everything, make counter accusations!

I don't think these guys will put us out of business. It doesn't make sense. We are very good at what we do and we are very profitable. They have kept ABX flying and they know how to "own" an airline. Will this make the next contract more difficult?

Uncertainty
I see that Abex is IBT1221, but ATI is Alpa. Both of those companies now pay less than OAI; a future CBA could be at issue with any disparities between wholly-owned subsidiaries.
