What makes you think Omni is only a mom and pop shop company unlike ATSG? The airplanes are owned by several umbrella companies and banks with unknown lease rates that move cash away from the labor intensive airline. The owners own several of ABX and ATI airframes through these companies and banks. Omni airplanes disappearing would be new, because those airplanes never arrived in the first place. ATSG ownership and the way money moves is not going to be any different. In reality if Omni was going to be eaten away piece by piece for the assets. The owners didn’t need ATSG to do it efficiently. Nothing Omni Pilots haven’t seen before. We are all mushrooms.

 

My money says they are on CAM Leasing before the end of the year. The leases are carefully worded...like in the event of a sale..good luck.

Just speaking from 25+ yrs of Hete experience. You guys are sure touchy...I hope it does not happen. But again there is absolutely no reason Hete would not move the aircraft to Cam. Or can you tell me what would prevent him. Your scope hopefully would prevent a sister airline from flying them. Good luck

Not me. I’ve got no rat in this race. What I have, for better or worse, is time on my hands and so I come here to waste some of it once in a while, mostly reading though ...I prefer to keep my opinions to myself.

I have noticed that you, and other fellows like you , who after many years, 25 plus you said, have amassed a great deal of knowledge on all things aviation use it frequently to pontificate and dispense advise to the rest of the members here.

My question. With all your self proclaimed wisdom and experience, why continue to give this Hete character you often make reference to, the opportunity to destroy your career and personaly belittle you and your other friends at ABX ?
Is it a subservient nature or maybe you just can’t get hired anywhere else?
Either way, the only thing you seem to be able to do is constantly rant and warn everyone else to stay away from the shi#hole you have chosen to remain at for 25 years.

And to add insult to injury you presume to tell the Omni people what their professional future holds.

Nothing personal, but the old saying, actions speak louder than words has some merit here. You can see how your credibility could be suspect.

 

Money....lots of it. Our contract has hugh penalty pain for company stupidity. It's not hard to double your salary while working your scheduled days. Why else? Money . I have yet to met an airline pilot that says he loves his job so much I would do it for free. I am telling the Omni people what they can expect being owned by ATSG going forward...don't shoot the messenger. That's what this forum is all about..if it scares you stop looking at it and go wash your car.

There is no end to ATSG stupidity.
As a matter of fact let’s tell everyone to go to ABX there is “much money to be made there”. Because you know we all do this for money.
I’m going to wash some cars, see if I can make some moneys.
