Quote: Yes, there is some attrition at NJ, but it seems to be mostly at the SIC level. It's low when compared to FJ. The problem at NetJets is, if you're a PIC going to an airline doesn't make economic sense. I know a few who had large airplane envy who left for the majors and took a huge pay hit.

The NJ union has negotiated an unbelievable pay and benefits package.
Basically everything in this post is untrue.

Finny me lad she would beg to differ with you , she’s been there going on 11 years, she thinks my job is cake : )

Quote: I wouldn’t listen to any NJA pilot on what is better. Most NJA pilots think they are better than everyone. They have also been fed lots of propaganda and anti Flex rhetoric so all NJA pilots base their opinions on that.
I would agree with this, NJA pilots (I am one) are told we were hired because we are the best and we have the best contract in the Frac world, I would not consider Flex a competitor, we have almost 500 jets, they have 75 I think. We don't compete on pricing is the moto over here. Lot more options here at NJA than other companies. I think AJ gets "happy employees leads to happy customers".

She’s been with SWA since ‘08, and laughs when I say our job is more challenging : )

Then you’ve done a crappy job educating her.

My wife is a medically retired NWA pilot. She readily admits what we do is WAY harder than what she used to do.

what I haven’t done is complain to her about how miserable I am , ( I’m not ) , our flying is certainly challenging, and dynamic, but in the XL as of late I wouldn’t call it hard, let alone WAY harder than 121 airline flying. Besides we have the most liberal fatigue policy in the industry. DC3 on demand cargo ? Now that was grueling, tough, challenging....fill in the adjectives, Cheers : )

It’s not the flying. It’s everything else you do every day that constitutes 70% of your actual work day at a frac. And if taking care of the plane is easy you need to go buy your partner a beer and apologize to them. Because you’re working them to death.

Yeah I’m working them to death, LOL , it takes how long to vacuum? and that’s taken care of at the service hubs, if it’s really trashed at the end of the day we put in for a detailed cleaning , easy with the drama : )
