I suppose you could try that.

You're really not listening.

They invited me to apply to the FO position via Indeed with just over 500 hours. Think I have a shot? XD

had not heard this was happening. You have to have an ATP. Haven’t heard they were accepting any type of restricted ones.

Sure they're not offering you engineer seat?

Well, he said "FO Position". Not sure what's going on, but Lynden doesn't hire into the FE seat as a pathway to a pilot position. Lynden FEs are PFE's. The FE candidates have either previous FE experience or mechanics from within the company with significant C-130 maintenance experience. In theory, Lynden could hire a pilot with a commercial certificate and an instrument rating into the FE seat, but it would be an extraordinary departure from the hiring philosophy of the previous 2 decades.

Since this thread seems to have been revived, I should say that some of the conditions I mentioned in my 02-21-2022 post have improved. The bid lines have gotten a little better in terms of days off. Previously, all bid lines except the 4 lines (out of 20+) dedicated to Alaska scheduled flights would have a maximum of 12 days off in a 30 day month (13 days off in a 31 day month) In the latest bid (June, 30 day month) there are 14 bid lines with 14 days off. However there 3 lines with only 13 days off, and still 1 line with only 12 days off. So, some improvement on that front. You may still be doing your beginning of the month or end of the month travel in the previous or following month, and it's possible depending gone what line you hold in the previous or following month that those days may be your days off, however you are now being paid the day off premium for traveling on those days off. Without getting too deeply into Lynden's unique pay system, working or traveling on a designated day off pays essentially double your total pay for working on a normal scheduled day. So that's an improvement.

I know the OP said FO, but as previously remarked an ATP is required, so something doesn't add up, it will be interesting to get the full story. An A&P with 500 hours could be made into an FE cleanly but I suppose they could pay someone to go get 1,000 hours of touch & goes in a 150.

I was half joking, fellas lol. I understand that I'm way underqualified to hold the FO job there. I was more poking fun at the Indeed system of application invitations and how it plainly does not work. I was similarly invited to apply for an FO job at Alaska Airlines just yesterday, still under 1000 hours.
