I'm too lazy to try and look it up, but I'm absolutely sure that in 2001 there was some articles saying that the halting of air travel and contrails for the couple of days had caused increased global warming because the lack of reflective high clouds that repelled the suns rays from reaching the earth.

Everything causes global warming. And global warming causes every bad thing that happens.

Warmer local weather? Global warming.

Just google "contrails, global warming" and you will see many reports/studies/articles since the 2001 airspace shutdown that on those days lack of contrails actually RAISED the daily surface temperature of the ground below.
There is still much study on the effect of contrails trapping heat already on the surface via IR reflection.

Insulting people because they don't see the apparent consensus you see doesn't help change one mind.

The climate is changing, has changed, will change, and won't be stopped despite any of the actions of humans. Our efforts towards mitigating effects would be the much better investment rather than to tear down our capitalism in the name of some scheme to spread equality and poverty around. We should always look towards making our environment as clean as possible.

And to that end most modern day environmentalism is simply a vehicle used as a front to push socialism
