No, I was scheduled to go to class in 2007 in the Mesaba flow as NWA took about 10 Mesaba pilots a month .. NWA didn’t require a 4 year and of course we didn’t have to interview and come in and answer dumb questions and fill out ridiculous amounts of paperwork.. NWA owned us and the 4 engine Avro Jet in which I was a captain , so we were already working for NWA anyway . Just like Endeavor is created and owned by Delta and all the jets we fly and they pay us and we fly their aircraft and passengers and basically already work for Delta..my 25 years and 24 as a captain have given me more hours than 60 percent of the mainline pilots and I have enough time and experience for 5 ...4 year degrees over again .. degrees don’t fly airplanes .. pilots do .. but as I was preparing for my NWA class , I suddenly and sadly lost my medical and it took me 4 months to get it back . NWA said no worries and they held my name .. as I got my medical back and was rescheduled to go to a class in September of that year , NWA suddenly stopped all hiring and training .. The merger took place not too long after and Delta had to take the compass flow people and they ballyhooed about taking the Mesaba flow too .. however , Delta agreed they would take the top 200 Mesaba pilots still on the flow list of which my name was number 1 .. got a call in 2010 from Delta telling me they were starting classes and that they saw I was number 1 on the flow list , however they said I couldn’t flow and they would have to kick me out of the flow as I didn’t have a 4 year .. now at that time I had been at Mesaba for 16 years and had been a captain for 14 of those years , including a 4 engine jet for god sakes, so I had more time than dirt and a 4 year degree would not make a hill of beans difference with that kind of experience.. so I thought it was pretty pathetic of Delta to screw me over that way .. I tried to fight it thru the union and union attorney, but to no avail .. to my knowledge they have still demanded the 4 year and here I sit flying for Delta anyway and they are paying my paycheck and I’ve got 23,000 hours and yet I’ve lost 7000 or more seniority numbers and they hire pilots who weren’t even born when I got on at Mesaba in 94 ‘ , but yet I can’t simply flow up and just go to training on a bigger aircraft for an Airline I’m already working for .. so , wow , if you can make sense of all that , then let me know ... LOL 😂😂
