Quote: Wow, came here to get some info for flying with Southern Air and surprised at some of these comments. This one blows me away. I’m sure you have a way you think you can justify this comment but can’t think any way it will be truly justifiable.
No one wants you here

Quote: Make no mistake about it. Anybody that comes here now is only helping to perpetuate this hot mess. Every warm body they con into showing up to interviews & new-hire classes are only adding leverage to the CEOs incredibly regressive actions. There are several thousand pilots & their families that would really appreciate it if you’d take your talents elsewhere - until such time that this management has a real change of heart regarding the royal screwing of their pilots they are so hell bent on pursuing.
I saw your justification a page or so later - For The Good of Pilots Everywhere, essentially - but this just screams ‘this is really all about me’ to me.
Some of you guys make it sound like pilots can just go to the ‘Universal Airline Pilot Hiring Page’ dropdown, and just select the airline you want to work for and bang, you’re hired! Just be sure you don’t pick Atlas/Southern because that will screw up our current negotiations.
Sorry but the ‘pilot shortage’ never materialized so strongly. I’d love for you - and new hires like me potentially - to get maximum pay, but some pilots don’t have that many options. And making exceptions for furloughed pilots living out of their cars and eating ramen noodles does not make you seem less selfish. Me not accepting a job with AAWH I doubt would have much affect on any negotiations.

At this point in time there is no difference between the pay for training outfits of the 90's and what Atlas is doing. I hold the same disdain for the people that come to Atlas/Southern as those that did the PFT game. They are very close to being scabs to the industry.
Let’s add all those pilots that PAY to get in line for a :30 second interview, or have to join some special pilot group that is constantly demanding equality, but has every advantage based on whatever they identify with at the moment other than being a good pilot. (Unfortunately AGE is not one of them) How about those crazy interview questions, so let’s add those people that volunteer outside the industry emptying litter boxes at the kill shelters 3 days a week. Better yet. I think every person that has PAID for their Private, Instrument, MEL, CFI, CFII are ALL borderline Scabs. If you didn’t notice it. Sarcasm.

Unity comes when it is a destination career airline and you know you’ll be there for the end. I don’t feel that is the case at Atlas and the pilot group.

Wow, another winner. You mean on this forum, or at AAWH? Either way, pretty childish...

Exactly, and there are many more here just like me. We do not respect you. But if you think it's just me then come on over and see for yourself.

Be careful. I get it that there are certain resumes that make sense to take a job at Atlas, but those resumes are few and far between. I get it that you're an adult but unless you have 1000 PIC and a degree I'd avoid it like the plague. You will spend years there... Maybe decades.
